Released in 1965, this is Gladys Knight and The Pips' first and only studio album for Maxx Records. These are the recordings famed for springboarding Gladys Knight over to Motown Records. Gladys and this family foursome signed with Larry Maxwell's label in 1964, and after several successful singles, Maxwell was responsible for taking the group to Motown. Pressed here for the first time in six decades, 12 sides full of soul, grace and grit - remastered and reissued on virgin vinyl.
