Two LPs, individually hand-pressed. The label states that the color blend and the camouflage pattern vary from copy to copy, so no two records in the run carry the same green, brown and black. Warner's retail marketing lists the pressing as a brick-and-mortar exclusive with a street date of December 4, 2026.

Side D closes on a track the album proper does not carry: the Ed Case and Sweetie Irie Re-fix Edit of "Clint Eastwood." That makes this a sixteen-track record where the standard fifteen-track album ends on "M1 A1."

Gorillaz is the band's debut, released by Parlophone in the United Kingdom on March 26, 2001 and by Virgin in the United States that June. Dan the Automator produced it with the band at Studio 13 at Buspace in London and at Geejam Studios in Port Antonio, Jamaica.

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett built the group as four animated members - 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs and Noodle. Del the Funky Homosapien guests on "Clint Eastwood" and "Rock the House," and Ibrahim Ferrer of the Buena Vista Social Club sings on "Latin Simone (¿Qué Pasa Contigo?)."
