From fireside guitar with drum machines, field recordings with hypnotic electrified weddings, and impromptu collaborations with friends, from original compositions to folkloric interpretations.Recorded in refugee camps during the Malian conflict of 2012, produced on cellphones and distributed via WhatsApp across the Tuareg diaspora, ABBA Gargando's debut recording is a glimpse into the self-recordings and DIY culture in the Sahel.
