CARPENTER,KAREN - KAREN CARPENTER Vinyl LP

Expected: 12/11/2026

Karen Carpenter by Karen Carpenter is one of the most significant archival releases in pop music history. Recorded between 1979 and 1980, this was Karen's only solo album, yet it remained unreleased for many years, earning a reputation among fans as a "lost" or "phantom" album. Originally issued on CD in 1996, the album now receives its first-ever official analog LP release, approved by Richard Carpenter, making it a landmark release for collectors and music enthusiasts alike.

Produced by legendary producer Phil Ramone, the album presents a different musical direction from The Carpenters, embracing a sophisticated pop sound that highlights Karen's expressive vocals and artistic individuality. The recordings reveal a more personal and contemporary side of her artistry while retaining the warmth and emotional depth that made her one of the most beloved voices in popular music. This Limited Edition Vinyl is especially notable because it marks the world's first official LP pressing of the album more than four decades after the recordings were made.
