1970 was a very interesting year for The Monkees. Their top-rated NBC TV show, which made them instant superstars in 1966 , was now being shown to millions of kids on Saturday mornings, and a whole new audience were now enjoying what their older siblings were hip to a few years previously. The executives at Colgems Records knew that The Monkees were still a hot property for the label, and they convinced the principal hit making lead vocalists Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones to record one more album. Released in 1970, "Changes" was released and featured the double sided hit single "Oh My My" and "I Love You Better" In addition, the final Monkees album for Colgems features their classic "Acapulco Sun" which had also become a hit in Mexico.
