Rosie and the Originals were fronted by lead singer Rosie Hamlin, and had a moderate success in the 1960's after the song "Angel Baby" peaked at #5 on the Billboard charts in early 1961. In a 1969 interview with Life magazine, John Lennon named Hamlin as one of his favorite singers. Presented here is her full-length album for Brunswick Records, Lonely Blue Nights, with the addition of four bonus tracks, among them the classic "Angel Baby" and its flip side, "Give Me Love," also a favorite of John Lennon.
