Traveler’s Blues debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Albums

GRAMMY® winning blues rock band Blues Traveler release their 14th studio album with a special, limited edition package that hearkens back to their origins in the mid-80s at Princeton High School in Princeton, NJ. The 500-copy limited run of Traveler’s Blues includes an exclusive 8 x 10” print photograph of the band in high school, a nostalgic sticker reimagining their high school’s logo with the band’s own – itself based on a cat who visited them during high school jam sessions in Princeton. The record is pressed on ultra-clear vinyl.

Known for their massive Top 40 hits including “Hook” and “Run Around,” Blues Traveler have played shows around the world in their 30 plus year history, and have sold millions of records. The band is comprised of vocalist and harmonica player John Popper, guitarist Chan Kinchla, bassist Tad Kinchla, keyboard player Ben Wilson, and drummer Brendan Hill. The included photograph features original member Bobby Sheehan, the band’s first bassist who passed away in 1999.

The package perfectly suits the record itself, as guitarist Chan Kinchla says: “Back in the day, we were all into blues,” says Chan. “We even started as a high school blues band. … it was fun to come full circle and really get back to blues more than we’d ever planned. It took a lifetime for us to play this style well. There’s no way we could’ve pulled off this album when we were younger. After thirty years, we finally made the record we aspired to make as kids.”

Traveler’s Blues is a collection of re-imagined classics from the American Blues songbook including special guests such as Rita Wilson, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Keb’ Mo’, John Scofield, Warren Haynes and more.
